About the Sooke Food Bank
Compassion, Community & Support
Established in the 1980s, the Sooke Food Bank comprises a core team of 40 volunteers, who serve and support community programs and members by providing food assistance. Our service area includes the Sooke Region communities of East Sooke, Beecher Bay, Otter Point, Shirley, Jordan River, and Port Renfrew.
Our Mission
To relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow for all Sooke Region residents, ensuring that everyone regardless of circumstances has access to nutritious meals.

Currently, we serve 90 families each month, with enrolment rising faster than ever before. Recently, we were featured in the news due to the increasing demand within the community, and as the holiday season approaches, we expect even more families and individuals to seek our assistance.
