First annual Sooke Christmas Food & Toy Drive raises over $30K

Co-hosted by A Sea of Bloom and Under the Seat Plumbing, local Sooke businesses are banding together for the first annual Sooke Christmas Food & Toy Drive.

On behalf of A Sea of Bloom and Under The Seat Plumbing, and the entire community, we extend our deepest gratitude for your incredible generosity and support of our first annual Christmas Food & Toy Drive for the Sooke Food Bank. Your contributions have made a profound difference and helped bring light and warmth to families facing hardship this holiday season.

The success of this year’s initiative would not have been possible without your selflessness. We are truly overwhelmed by the spirit of giving we witnessed. Specifically, we would like to thank you for your contributions:

• Monetary Donations: Together we raised $30,827! The funds you so generously donated allowed the Sooke Food Bank to purchase gift cards, food and toys for over 600 families this holiday season.
• Silent Auction Donations: The Silent Auction event held at A Sea of Bloom in November raised over $10,000! The incredible art, items and experiences donated to this event enabled it to be a huge success, as well as the high turnout of bidders ready to show their support.
• Food & Toy Donations: Your gifts of non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys stocked the food bank’s Christmas hampers, and ensured children in our community had a reason to smile on Christmas morning.
• Time & Service: To the dedicated volunteers who donated their valuable time—whether through organizing, collecting, sorting, or distributing—your commitment and hard work were the engine that drove this event. Your gift of time is immeasurable.
• Mentorship: To the businesses who provided mentorship and guidance while freely donating their services to our cause. Your willingness to assist had a significant impact on our fundraising journey, and we are humbled by your generosity.

This fundraiser is a testament to the compassion and unity of our community. The holiday season is a time of hope and joy for all thanks to donors like you. Thank you once again for your commitment to making our community a better place. We wish you and yours a prosperous New Year!

Join us for an evening of nibbles, sips, and bids! All proceeds go to our First Annual Christmas Food & Toy Drive for the Sooke Food Bank. New toy donations are also accepted. All ages welcome! FREE Admission.
