Over 4000 lbs. donated to Thanksgiving Food Drive!
I am so thrilled, as I’m sure the Sooke Food Bank is as well! When I left there at 2:30pm this afternoon, there was 4140lbs. of food that you, the Sooke community, donated today. We took in 1500lbs. more than last year.
Thank you all so much for participating in the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive this year. Thanks to the volunteers for help sorting items; to everyone who delivered bags and picked up donations; and to everyone who donated online as well.

About the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive
Saturday, September 20
The BC Thanksgiving Food Drive delivers food and financial support to local food banks throughout British Columbia. In 2025, volunteers will be collecting food in more than one hundred communities across the province between September 6-20.
Look for donation bags, delivered to homes in our community. On Saturday, September 20, leave the bags of non-perishable items at the end of your driveway at 9am for volunteers to come pick up.
